![]() | ![]() Trevali's 2008 Santander exploration program focused on resource delineation drilling of its three silver-lead-zinc mineralized manto and pipe-type structures (Magistral North, Central and South) that are hosted in favourable carbonate lithologies and located just a couple of kilometres northwest and along the same structural trend hosting the past producing Santander orebody that was mined from 1958-1993. Drill results from the Magistral zones have been very encouraging with almost all of the 104 holes completed (totalling approximately 20,000 metres) encountering significant intercepts of polymetallic sulphide mineralization (Ag-Pb-Zn) from surface to depths of more than 350 metres below surface. Mineralization remains open at depth in all three bodies. An initial independent (NI43-101) resource estimate (from the three Magistral Zones) is anticipated in Q1-2009. A fourth mineralized zone (Puajanca) -- returning very high-grade silver and base metal values -- has also been identified about one km northeast of the Magistral zones and is scheduled for a resource definition drill program. Additionally several geophysical (magnetic) anomalies, similar to those coincident to the Magistral bodies, are scheduled for follow-up exploration on the Company's 44-sq km concession. Drill ResultsThe Company has completed resource definition drilling on the three Magistral ore bodies with almost all of the 100 drillholes (20,613 metres) completed in 2008 intersecting polymetallic mineralization over significant intervals from surface to approximately 350 metres vertical depth. Mineralization remains open. Assay data and drill logs are being compiled for an independent NI43-101 resource estimate underway by Golder Associates Engineering and anticipated in Q1-2009.
